Off Day: Quirky Chic

Quirky Chic

Sequin + Leopard + Jean= Quirky Chic

This was really an impromptu shoot with JMR and I, but I was really excited about it because this was our first time actually shooting on location. We just left a meeting discussing a video blog pilot we are going to host (yay!!! more deets on that coming sooner than later), and decided to just get a few candid shoots while we were out. The funny thing is, I didn’t realize until later that this was the first time that I’ll actually worn jeans on the Parkway–so today is just a day full of firsts lol.

This look isn’t quite office friendly given the distressed jeans and sequin–but hey it was my off day :) .

This is how I dress in my chill mode.

Confession: This was suppose to be my Friday outfit post, but like I said earlier in my last post that the struggle is real.

Who said you can only wear sequin after 5? A sequin top and/or skirt is really similar to any embellished piece you already have in your wardrobe. If your going for a casual look than dress down the your sequin clothing with simple pieces like a plain top and/or your favorite pair of jeans like I’m wearing here. The key is to keep everything very neutral. The sequin item is bold enough to speak on it’s own so don’t go matching it up with other fussy pieces (It will make you seem like your trying way to hard especially for a casual look in the city).

It was so windy in Atlanta my hair was all over the place, but JMR got some great shots.

  3. Yaaaaay!! You have such amazing pictures…and thanks again for linking up! I love your take on the look. I have all these things in my closet, too…soooooo, don’t say anything if you see me on the streets with your outfit on. Lol!

    • Lol thank you… Feel free to try it out with your own stuff. I love it because its basic with a pop of fun :) . Oh and I’m 5’5 exactly these jeans are easily one of my favorites. I would recommend them to anyone but if your on the shorter end you may have to get them hemmed because they certainly run long.
